Notify Lists

(9:52 A.M. – 10:09 A.M. US Central Time/Tuesday/2nd Period – school library)

[imood mood at time of entry: cheery]

I would first like to thank Zara and Brandon for their words of encouragement. I feel loved and comforted. What those boys did were wrong and completely unacceptable. I do not know what was said between the spitter and Dr. Keys, but it certainly did not include the words “You’re suspended.” because he there in the hallway the very next day smiling at me with the adoration a fox shows a chicken right before it tears it to pieces. Hrmmm. Anyway, I guess that that is settled until I can ask Dr. Keys about it. I bet more than anything that he denied having done anything at all. At least I don’t have to see him today because nearly everyone in our class is excempt from the Government Final and don’t have to show up for 2nd period anymore.

As far as I know, I don’t have to show up for three finals in all. I don’t know about the rest of the classes, but I know that I have three off so far. I am happy about that. I only have to show up for attendance.

I don’t know if all of my asterisks have been appealed yet and I need to find out soon because school is over next Friday (May 27, 2004). I also have to take my Credit-By-Exams either this week or next week. I am sure that I will utterly fail the Eco test since I have not taken the class, but it’s worth a try before spending $150 on the whole class in Sunmmer School.

As for the Notify Lists that I subscribed to, I had to finally unsubscribe from all of them. I read too many journals/diaries to have them all sending me notices. It’s not that I don’t appreciate them, but that they fill up my Inbox and I can never get to them all on the days that they are sent. It’s a bit discouraging. I still will go by for a read, but I can’t take all of the email in my Inbox. I have considered shutting off the Notify List function for my own journal since I know how annoying it be. After I finish this I am going to send a note to my Notify List members if they haven’t already read it here and ask them how they feel about this. I cetainly don’t want to junk up anyone’s Inbox with mail that they aren’t ever going to read.

Anyway, I have other Internet tasks to complete on my To Do List and I better get to them.

TTFN,

Danielle

  1. It’s okay that you had to sign off my notify list, dear. I don’t mind. Put your own needs first, I say. I’ll be here if you need me.

Oh, and I love the new design for your diary, too. Very pretty.

  2. I completely understand. I once got 15 notifications in one day! Obviously, if I had time to read all of those entries, I wouldn’t have time for much else. Since then, I’ve winnowed down my Notifies to four journalists whom I like to read regularly. I’ll keep reading, if you leave me on your list, but it doesn’t hurt my feelings to be removed from someone else’s. You’ve got a lot on your plate!

Also, I’m outraged that nothing was done to those students who assaulted you. Perhaps you could look into a civil suit. Some lawyers work on a contigency basis, where you don’t pay them (except court costs) unless you get a settlement. I’m not litigious by nature, but assault is another matter. BTW, assault doesn’t necessarily mean you were physically harmed.

Anyway, good luck on your studies, and I’ll continue to follow your exploits, as long as you keep writing!
