Little Entry

(1:00 P.M. – 1:25 P.M. US Central Time)

I am writing a little entry now because I am tired and bored and I might be going back to sleep.

I got up a little bit after 9 today took a shower, got on checked email and did one download (Pts of Athrty by Linkin Park).

I have noticed for the past two days that fanfic has been down. I want to go read stories or maybe even post a chapter in my story. But that’s a no go.

I want to try that code that CovertOps gave to me. I have been thinking about my journal and the changes that I could make to it. I thought about adding a Flash intro and all kinds of shiny cool stuff, but that would be bullshit. I would then be compromising myself to try and impress people. If people don’t like my journal so what they can always leave and choose not to read it because that is there choice. if they do like it then we can hang and chill and talk about whatever. Hmmm . . . sounds like someone had a wreck outside. Hold on.

Someone pulling into the driveway next to mine bumped into the car parked there. It was not too bad.

So anyway, I am trying to change my counter because bravenet is this bullshit counter now that does not want to serve the free public. They stopped blocking my computer when I come to update my journal. So my counter is getting a hit every time that I just come to add and entry or to look at a reader comment. That is stupid! I hate how they changed on everyone. They are fucking greedy! I am trying out gostats, but the cookie blocker is not in place yet so it counts me too. But if I must be counted I want to do it in style, so no more ragged white bravenet counter. Now it is glowy blue.

I am reading this book about faeries. It is pretty cool. It is written by this woman who always writes books about faeries.

I did a money spell yesterday morning and I need to do another one today. After that no more money spells until I give those a chance to pan out. In fact, I don’t know if I should do the second one.

Hmmm . . . this entry is turning out to be not so little after all. I thought that I did not have much to say. Oh well.

A woman in my Crispin Glover group is going to draw him for us. She needed something to draw and asked us to help out with a suggestion. She is going to combine my suggestion and DrZelda’s suggestion. DRZ said that she wants him to be sitting in a chair in period clothing giving his “stare” and that he should be looking to meet the gaze of someone coming in the room. I threw in that there should be desire in his eyes. Desire is always nice.

I think that I will go read my book now as I can’t seem to stop thinking of it.

(hehe Jade like my little doohickey? ~`~ twins. Oh! Jade you can leave me comments in my journal if you want. You don’t have to be a member of DD.Net to do so.)

Lew emailed this (will follow) to the my Crispin Glover group and he is right. Everyone that writes an article about him is not nice at all. They all call him crazy names like crazy. Sure it may be true sometimes, but give him sonme credit for his talent once in a while people.

That MAD crack about Crispin being a gawky, creepy weirdo got me

thinking. Interviews and reviewers seem to feel free to be awfully

rude when describing him. I mean, really . . . some of this is

uncalled for. Even if it’s true. How many times have you heard him

described as a freak or a weirdo? Even if, uh, yeah, it’s true –

c’mon folks, break out your thesaurus at least.

I’ve kind of been collecting Crispin descriptions, just out of . . .

I don’t know what. Nothing better to do?

So far the nicest was in “Lucky Man”, Michael J. Fox’s autobio, which

described him as “intense, brilliant and eccentric” but then went on

to refer to him as “crazy Crispin”. The funniest is from the Self-

Made Critic’s review of CA: “The villains also kick some serious ass.

Especially eternally creepy freak Crispin Glover, who has a number of

really cool fight sequences with the ladies, and manages to remind

absolutely nobody of George McFly.” He got that last part right. I

also remember a review (I forget of what) describing him as a “wild-

child” which for some reason cracks me up . . .

Anyone have anything particularly good to add?

Lew

  1. Hey sweetie! Hmmm…wonder where I have seen this :~’~ before? I’m glad things are going a little better for you. I was doing great and I slept like a log after I got done talking to you. I guess I needed that. Then stuff went down. So…yeah. I’m depressed again. Anyways…enough of me…more of you. Like I say…I love your diary! I like to know what is going on in the life of my best friend. Yeah…so keep writing! And IM me on yahoo later of you’re on!
