Tired, But Relaxed

(4:50 P.M. – 5:14 US Central Time/Saturday/library near my house)

[imood mood at time of entry: tired]

I’m not going to stay on here long since I don’t feel the need to go on and on and on. Just a little check in to say hello to the journal.

I am here at the little library and it’s so peaceful and relaxing after the nerve wrecking weekend I had. It wasn’t bad per se, but it was hard work.

I did tons of chopping today. Prestina had to go to a baby shower and she wanted to bring a fruit tray. Her mom didn’t trust her to do it so I did it. I cut a cantalope, a honey dew melon, a watermelon, a pineapple, and six kiwis. There were also tons of grapes.

After I did that, I finally ate a meal for the first time today since all I had to eat was half of a small cookie and a few small pieces of fruit that were too small to include on the tray.

Because I ate, everyone else ended up getting hungry. I ate the burger that my mom cooked for me yesterday (Friday, January 2, 2004). She dropped it by on the way home. During which time, Prestina’s mother threw a fit about the cleaniness of the house even though Prestina and I had worked hard. She was also mad because the food wasn’t already cooked. We didn’t know when she’d be home and no one was really hungry. She was also mad because I was sitting on the porch with Brandon Lusk even though we weren’t doing anything by the time she drove up.

Anyway, I ended up cooking cheese burgers for the entire house as is the case when I am there and cooking for any reason at all. I usually will end up cooking for everyone. In fact, I do that at my house too. It’s ok though. I’m not reeally complaining about the cooking so much as the fact that my shoulder straps from my bra were cutting me and my back hurt and so did the rest of me. I was aching all over. I think it might have been from sleeping on a hardwood floor for two nights.

Well, it’s still a nice arrangement because I love to cook and I am surrounded by people who love to eat. Works out for everyone.

Prestina left for the shower and decided to take India with her. Brandon (my brother), who came over while I was still cutting fruit, and I waited outside on the steps for at least an hour thinking that Mom was coming to get us. I finally suggested that we walk home. Turns out that she wasn’t coming to get us at all. While we waited for her to come home, we watched our porn tape and then the very beginning of Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. We’ve become avid fans of the series and can’t wait to see the second and third ones.

What I need to do is get another job. I was supposed to buy porn for me and Brandon when I hit 18, but I didn’t since I gave the bulk of my last paycheck to Mom to pay off her whatevers. After that, I stopped working.

Anyway, my shoulders still hurt and I’m mad tired, but I’ll be OK. Brandon has chocolate in his pocket and I have chocolate cream filled cupcakes in my backpack. We’re going to eat on the steps when we’re done here. We’re waiting on Mom to come back from the thrift store with Grandma and Todd.

I wanted to do a photocopy a little while ago and just sort of stood there going “um. . . um. . . um. . .” and looking around at the printer until this nice little boy next to me explained it to me. Nice boy. *pats*

I’m in a pretty good mood. We are going to go to Aunt Percious’ house after this and watch LOTR if we can wrangle the television away from Uncle Ray. *crosses fingers* Hopefully so.

For now, I am going to go back to what I was doing before my time ran out the last time, go back and read my old journal entries from the very start and edit them.

Turns out, I did going on and on and on. Guess you can’t win them all. Oh! Pretty soon I am going to update on the OMHYGOD!!! of yesterday. Probably on Monday (January 5, 2004) after school.

TTFN,

Danielle
