Personality Test

Ok took another test from that site. There were some words that I did not understand so I looked them up at dictionary.com. I’ll include the definitions so I will know what these words mean in the future when I come back and read this stuff. The sad part is that this test is quite accurate. Yikes!!

Who knew dictionary.com was so bitchy about certain words?? I had to have membership to see the definition of this word, so I went to ask.com and found this page with all the info that I need on this word.

Here’s part of whatthe site said:

Individuals with StPD:

may have ideas of reference;

be superstitious or preoccupied with paranormal phenomena;

feel they have special powers;

believe they have magical control over others;

experience perceptual alterations;

have loose and vague speech (without being incoherent);

be suspicious and have paranoid ideation;

be affectively inappropriate;

have odd and eccentric mannerisms;

experience interpersonal problems;

have few close friends; and,

have social anxiety that does not abate with time (DSM-IV™, 1994, pp. 641-642).

Schizotypal personality disorder encompasses a combination of peculiar behavior, speech, thought, and perception. Individuals with StPD are usually withdrawn and display eccentric beliefs, paranoid tendencies, idiosyncratic speech, perceptual illusion, unusual appearance, inappropriate affect, and social anxiety (Frances, 1995, p. 368).

C)

Schizoid

I know this word but I want there to be a definition for it anyway.

1)Of, relating to, or having a personality disorder marked by extreme shyness, flat affect, reclusiveness, discomfort with others, and an inability to form close relationships.

2)Of, relating to, or suggestive of schizophrenia. No longer in scientific use.

3)Informal. Relating to or characterized by the coexistence of disparate or antagonistic elements: “This schizoid town is part resort, part sardine cannery” (Jean Anderson).
