Updated everywhere, because this is obviously the ‘whorish’ entry

(7:48 P.M. US Central Time/Wednesday/Library)

[imood mood at time of entry: tired]

So, I’m now looking to the online world for page 213/214 of “Order of the Phoenix.” I am doing a complete series reread backwards from Book Seven and have now reached Book Five. I’m sort of muddling through it, because I know that I am missing a page that will allow me to continue on. I hate that feeling. If anyone has ANY idea where I can find an online version of the book and can print out that one page, it would be much appreciated.

And yes, I can hear you thinking to yourselves, “Well, why don’t you just buy another copy of the book?” The answer is that I have already tried. The store I buy books from is already sold out and there really is no telling when they’ll have it back in stock.

Today was ‘Inspection Day’ at work. Our Director of Operations came in an looked every got damned thing over and had our GM (General Manager), Alfred, hopping around after him sucking up like mad. He was trying very hard to impress Tony (the DoP) and fix whatever Tony inquired about. Ha. I had to clean up a couple of things and he didn’t like how one thing was displayed, but my area got an overall good review. At least that was the case from what I could tell.

Even the AGM Jenn (Assistant General Manager), our KM Miguel (Kitchen Manager), S&MM Kat (Sales and Marketing Manager) were running to his table for sit-down meetings and such. It’s funny and nerve-wrecking to watch, because here is a man that could say the word and I would be fired for any little thing that he doesn’t like. And it’s not like my every day bosses can find some wiggle room, because this is their boss, too. They answer to him every day via emails and phone calls, so I had to make sure that I did everything perfectly.

I tried my best to be on my Ps and Qs, but you just never know with people. Of course, he went through his physical checklist, but I don’t know what other unwritten stuff his was looking for. *shrugs*

From what was said, Tony will be there again tomorrow (Thursday, September 6, 2007) for further inspections, which is odd, because I’ve never known him to do more than one day. Maybe it’s just one of those ‘He’s still in town and is stopping by’ things. Maybe not. I really don’t know. Either way, I won’t be there, which is fine by me. One day of that craziness is enough for me.

I have attempted to put a dent in the LJ posts in my transfers (to my IJ), but I still haven’t gotten past those first three. I am still contemplating even bringing them with me. They are the three years of my life on that site, but they’re also baggage. I’m split between the feeling that this (InsaneJournal) is a new site and a new start and I should leave it as such, and this is my new journal, so I should bring all of my old entries over. I mean, this is sort of my new journal, but I’m so damned attached to my LJ one. I’ve just had it so long and not many people are over here (on InsaneJournal).

In fact, when I need a wider audience for searches and whatnot, I have to go back to LJ. I just wish that fandom would make the jump as a whole so I wouldn’t have to go between two sites. It’s cumber- and tire- some. Guh.

I have been bored silly at work for the last two days, so I started writing my Bored Haikus. I also settled on my second book/book series idea of the week. The first one came to me in a dream and definitely could go on as a series. The other idea would probably just be the one book. Unless I decided to do some sort of sequel. Who knows?

I will type of the haikus and either post them here or hold on to them for a future Boredom Haikus book. I’ve written a few of them in the past and I am sure to write more, since this is the ‘slow’ season at work and have nothing better to do with my time. Now, if only I could sit down during all of this non-work, I’d be made!

Also, I finally decided (read: got around to) giving the Nerd Test another go and ended up with the second version instead of the one I took and posted on LJ years ago. The results are below:

I do kind of feel like a loser, but I didn’t really need an online test to tell me that. I mean, really. I had a hard time picking between some of the answers, because they had questions where you had to give up two things to have ONE thing. On one of the questions, ‘MySpace’ was one of the answers. I gave it up without a second thought, it’s just that much of a non-entity to me.

I decided to save all of the other informational bits that were on the page as well. They are below under cuts to help save your friends pages some space. Hell, I’ll now have to go back up and cut some of my entry, because I hadn’t planned on this entry going all out and veering so readily away from the LJ version of this post. Maybe I shouldn’t have told my friends list on LJ to ignore the double posting, since the entries are so different. . . Hrmm. . .

Anyway, here are the extra bits:

From this time forward, you’ll hold the title:

  1. I just deleted an entire myspace page with excellent entries due to stalking. Oh it’s stupid. Don’t ask. Made a new myspace. I haven’t updated here in forever just because I don’t have the energy. Plus you don’t have as many options as most of the other blogging sites.

Needless to say I don’t move anything. My original account here is private and I never go to it. Too much baggage.

This one I don’t look back in often.
