Hmmm..Worries

(10:45 A.M. – 11:01 A.M. US Central Time)

Mom didn’t take the computer away after all. In fact, she never came home yesterday.

She called yesterday to say that she was at the hospital. I just kind of blew her off and was not concerned as we went to hospital Monday and nothing was wrong with her in my opinion. I sat up there all that time tired and having to deal with the crazy people who go to the county hospitals. Then here I am sleeping yesterday and she calls. I don’t care and I ask her what does she want. She informs me of her location and all I say is, “Is that all?” She asks me if I am even going to ask her what’s wrong with her. I tell her ‘no’ since I figure it’s the same thing as Monday. She hangs up and I just throw the phone down on the bed. I turn over and try to go to sleep, but Brandon had been bothering me so much to wake me up that I could not go back to sleep. So I decided to get on the computer which she had just told me not to. What did I care?

Anyway long story short, I have not seen my mom since yesterday morning. Her car made it back to the house though. I called the hospital this morning and they told me that there had been no ‘Fountains’ had come in or checked in. I am worried, sort of. Ok, I am really kind of worried. I don’t know where she is. I will have to call my uncle who came by last night and ask him.

I am reading this book that is the perfect book for me right now. It has everything that I feel and go through on a daily basis. The self doubt, the loathing of others, my maverick streak, my need to keep my talents hidden, my lust to please, everything. I love how the story features characters that are conflicting with not only the world around them, but themselves as well. The name of the book is Simon Says by a lovely woman who went to school here in Houston at Rice University. Her name is….Elaine Marie Alphin. Had to go get the book to look.

I was elated when I saw that she was setting the book in Houston. We really do need more press. We are the best Texan city and the largest too. The only reason that everyone focuses on Dallas is because a president got shot in the head there. If JFK had not died there and had died in Houston then everyone would go crazy for us! I know that sounds mean or rude or whatever, but it is the truth plain and simple.

  1. Hello, Danielle.

Thank you for your comment on my Diary. I’m sorry you are going through such a rough patch right now. It is always the people closest to you who give you the most trouble. My mother and I had a major fight two weeks ago and I am moving out soon. It is for the best. There is too much friction at home.

I hope your problems will be resolved soon.

    Take care.

    E.L.
