Life’s Not So Bad After All. . . In Fact, It’s Great!

I noticed the new Friends Only option and all I can say is that it’s about time that option became available. I wanted something like that a while back when I had the whole big mess with Prestina, Cris, Dame’on, and Prestina’s brother reading my journal.

I haven’t had much good news or bad concerning school since it’s been sort of in the middle.

I did win tickets and a Mega Lotto goodie bag last night (Tuesday, February 17, 2004) off the radio. I won concert tickets to see the Black Eye Peas and I guess I will get a bunch of Scratch Off tickets. Whoopee! I have to go pick it up from the station in two weeks since that is when it will be available. I have won tickets from that station before and they told me that the don’t receive the winners’ concert tickets until two week before the show.

I invited my friend Diamond to come with me. I met her in my Speech class. She’s a tenth grader and is sort of tightly wound. She’s still in the gung ho work work work phase of high school. It turns out that she loves the Black Eye Peas (I hope that’s how you spell their name.). She, her mom, and her brother were especially giddy when I told them what I was calling about. I called right after I got off the phone with the station. The station that I won from was 104 KRBE, a Top 40s station.

I also talked to her brother for a long time about fish, art (he draws and I write), video games (since I was playing Tekken 3 at the time, kicking butt, and getting my butt kicked.), and other stuff. He actually asked about me while I talking to Diamond. He got on the phone and Diamond reclaimed the phone after a bit seeing as I am her friend and all. Even after she decided to go to bed Darius, her brother, got back on the phone. We talked for a good long time. I also talked to her mother for a bit too.

It was funny though because their mom picked up the phone when he got back on the second time and told him not to take me away from Diamond.

We all talked for about two hours. Not bad considering that I worked my way through her entire family that was there.

Her mom offered to drive us to the venue and Diamond wants to treat me to a movie. Her brother is buying me another beta fish and bowl to replace the ones that I lost to death and my mother’s iron (The fish died, but not because of my mother’s iron. She melted the bowl.), so that’s pretty cool. I have to go pick it up either today or Saturday (February 20, 2004). Majorly sweet of him. I asked him why’d he offered and he said because I told him that I wanted one. *laughs*

I just hope and wonder if I found myself a new best friend and potential boyfriend. Darius is the same age as me only his birthday is two days before my brother Brandon’s, which is May 4. Hrmmm. . . he’s a Taurus. It might could work. He goes to college too (TSU – Texas Southern University). He also went to my home school and graduated from there last school year.

I know that I should be carefully liking my friend’s brother (or any relatives), but I don’t think that I will be that tempted in this case. He’s a nice guy and I enjoy talking to him, but I don’t know. He seems like he will make a good friend for me more than anything and heaven knows that I can always use those.

I’m off to go check the date of their show in Houston and to read more of my story called Elanor’s Revenge. I’m not finished reading Unspoken yet, but I plan to.
